Packed full of flavour with a little spice kick, our Korean Beef & Sangchu-geotjeori is a dish that’s sure to impress your dinner guests!

Method

  1. Place the beef strips into a zip-lock bag. Next, add the soy sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, sesame oil, pepper, ginger, garlic, and cornflour. Press the air out of the bag and seal tightly. Coat the beef by pressing the marinade into the meat.
  2. Place the sealed bag in the fridge to marinate for at least 30 mins.
  3. Add the marinated beef into a large pan and cook over a medium-high heat until the beef is brown, around 7 mins.
  4. To make the sangchu-geotjeori: Wash and drain the lettuce, shaking off any excess water. Tear the lettuce into bite sized pieces and set aside.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the garlic, spring onion, sliced brown onion, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, vinegar, gochugaru, and sesame oil. Add the lettuce to the bowl and mix gently by hand to coat in the seasoning.
  6. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve it alongside the Korean beef.
