Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) and the Central Markets Association of Australia (CMAA) are thrilled to announce the 2024 ‘A better choice!’ Retailer of the Year, People’s Choice Award Winners, celebrating Australia’s top local fruit and vegetable shops as chosen by Australian shoppers.
The ‘A better choice!’ Retailer of the Year, People’s Choice Award recognizes the stores that garnered the most nominations from their local communities, celebrating their commitment to quality, freshness, and customer service at independent Aussie fruit and veg shops. This year, over 30,000 shoppers nominated 370 individual stores as their preferred fruit and veg shop.
The winners were publicly announced on 19 June 2024.
This year’s national winner of Australia’s favourite fruit & veg shop is Adelaide Fresh Fruiterers in Morphett Vale, South Australia. This shop, which has consistently demonstrated excellence and community spirit, was previously awarded in 2021 and 2022 and placed second last year. They will be celebrating with an in-store event on 19 June with special guest Callum Hann, an ‘A better choice!’ Ambassador. Greavesy’s Fruit n Veg in Terang, Victoria, took the second place nationally, while Arnold’s of Wodonga, Victoria, a shop with a long-standing history since 1892 and last year’s winner, came in third.

3rd: Arnold’s (Wodonga, Vic)
